これは、非常に著名なMorse & Feshbachによる総括的著書でよく利用したものです。
全２巻から成る。これは、そのPart II(２巻目)で、Chap 9. Approximate Methods, Chap 10. Solutions of Laplace’s and Poisson’s Equations, Chap11. The Wave Equation, Chap 12. Diffusion, Wave Mechanics, Chap 13.Vector Fields.
から成り、各chapterには多くのsub-chapterがあり、演習問題も文献もある。大分のページ数の著書であるが、物理学を学ぶ学生には十分すぎる存在である。１９５３年刊であるが、現在でも十分に役立つ著書である。この様に総括的な著書は、当然ながら、我が国には存在しない。Excellent以外には賞賛の言葉が浮かばない著作でしょう。
